This stage of the Green Education Accreditation process entails providing necessary institutional details, and transferring the required registration fees.
2- Green Education Training
The Green Education Accreditation Committee will contact the accreditation candidate institution to nominate five to seven members from Leadership and Green Transformation Teams to participate in the Holistic Green Education Training programme. This programme encompasses diverse sessions, case studies, and resources to guide team members on how to implement the Holistic Green Education Framework and Education 6.0 across leadership governance, curriculum, research, innovation, facilities, human capital, and community partnerships to qualify their institution for the accreditation. Upon successful completion of the training, Green Transformation Team members will be awarded Green Education Certification for Educators.
3- Green Education Auditing
At this stage, the Green Transformation Team within institutions will gather comprehensive data across the six pillars outlined in the Holistic Green Education Framework. The team meticulously documents their commitment to fostering Green Education through, for example but not limited to, existing green leadership strategies, green initiatives, sustainability practices, environmental education programs, green innovations, and green development programs. Accordingly, the Green Education Accreditation Committee will conduct in-depth auditing to gather data on the institution’s commitment to the Holistic Green Education Framework. This stage may include virtual assessments or/and interviews.
4- Green Education Evaluation
The Green Accreditation committee will conduct a precise review to evaluate collected data and analyze not only the submitted documentations but also the outcomes of the Green Education Accreditation Committee auditing. Through this holistic examination, the accreditation committee will identify both the strengths and determine specific areas that may need further development in the institution’s commitment to the Green Transformation process.
5- Green Education Accreditation
Institutions which successfully achieved over 70% of the total weight of the six pillars of the Holistic Green Education Framework, will be awarded the Green Education Accreditation for Schools, honouring their commitment to Green Education. This recognition encompasses becoming a member of Green Education Organization, gaining access to networking and staff development opportunities, and attaining the esteemed Green Education Trustmark to elevate the institutional reputation.
Green Education Accreditation is valid for a year and requires an annual renewal, based on annual auditing reports, showcasing the institution’s ongoing commitment to Green Education and Sustainability.
