Dr. Badar Almamari is a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Art Education at the Sultan Qaboos University (Head of Department). He completed his master degree in ceramic (Australia - 2006), and his PhD in art and crafts (UK- 2012). His ceramic art mostly come in sculptural forms, and the most important characteristics about his art are matt glazes and oxides reduction firing techniques. His first solo exhibition of ceramic art was in Melbourne (Australia) in 2006, and he is a winner of many prizes but the most important of them was Sultan Qaboos Prize Of Crafts Excellence in 2010.
