Ms. Katie Jones

Katie Jones is a consultant at the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning. She works on areas including Education for Sustainable Development at the local level, lifelong learning for climate action and the recognition, validation and accreditation of prior learning. She is a co-coordinator of Pillar 4 of the Greening Education Partnership on "Greening Communities." Katie conducts cutting-edge research, fosters knowledge exchange and develops capacity-building activities for key stakeholders in UNESCO Member States, particularly in the context of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC). Having worked as an educator herself, Katie seeks to promote lifelong learning as a universal human right. She has an MSc in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford and a BA in History and Politics from the University of Warwick.
