Green Community Award

Green Community Award acknowledges and honors organizations implementing influential green initiatives to promote sustainability and the Green Transformation through community engagement, green initiatives, and educational campaigns.

Eligibility and Criteria

To be eligible for the Green Community Award, organizations, NGOs and industries must showcase their commitment to Sustainability and Green transformation through their green initiative, community engagement and educational campaigns.
The initiative, program or project should be current, backed with clear documentation of measurable outcomes resulting from the initiative, program or project, showcasing tangible improvements in Green Transformation within the community.

Green Community Award Timeline

1- Application Submission 1st February 2024 to 1st June 2024

Applicants are required to submit:

1- Green Community Award Application Form:

Complete the official Green Community Award Form.
Provide organization information.
Include contact person details for effective communication.

2- Video Presentation (3-6 minute Video):

Create a video highlighting real shots from the innovative projects and initiatives contributing to the Green Transformation and Sustainability.
Emphasize the statistics, number of beneficials, outputs, processes, and outcomes of these initiatives.

3- Article (700-1000 words):

Craft a detailed article showcasing the green transformation projects and initiatives.
Highlight the innovative aspects of the initiative.
Articulate the impact of these projects on promoting sustainable practices within the community
Provide insightful commentary on the projects’ contributions to the broader goals of sustainability.

2- Application Review 2nd June 2024 to 30th June 2024

The Green Education Awards committee, comprising esteemed members such as university deans, educational leaders, and representatives from ministries, will undertake a thorough review of the submitted applications and ensure a comprehensive evaluation process. Their collective insights will be instrumental in identifying and classifying initiatives according to their commitment to sustainability and the Green Education Transformation (Education 6.0).

3- Top 60 Announcement 1st July 2024

The Green Education Awards committee will officially declare the closure of the application review process by announcing the Top 60 applicants that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability and the Green Education Transformation (Education 6.0). These selected applicants will progress to the next stage of evaluation, emphasizing their noteworthy contributions and aligning with the Holistic Green Education Framework.

4- Nomination and Advocacy 1st July 2024 to 30th July 2024

Applicant Organizations, NGOs and institutions will engage their communities with the Green Transformation through:

Initiating an advocacy campaign to involve the surrounding community to actively participate in the campaign and vote for the entity at the Green Community Award.
Encourage The community to highlight the entity’s achievements through #GreenEducationAwards and #GreenCommunityAward Hashtags on social media.
Extra points will be counted for the Media Coverage, reports, news, interviews about the entity’s participation at the Green Community Award and Green Education Awards. Media Coverage Links should be sent prior to 1st August to [email protected]

5- Top 6 Winners Announcement 24th September 2024

The Green Education Awards Committee will contact the winners by the 1st of September 2024. The Announcement of the Green Education Awards will be declared in the Global Green Education Conference #GEC24.

Green University Award Prizes

The winning entities of the Green Community award will receive a multitude of benefits, including:

Global recognition and acknowledgment for their efforts and achievements in the realm of Green Education Transformation.
Attain authorized use of the Green Education Trustmark to elevate the institutional reputation and demonstrate your Green Transformation excellence.
Free membership for two years in Climate Education Network.
Green Community Award Trophy and Certificate of Excellence.
“Golden Pass” for the World Green Education Conference 2024 #GEC24, to attend all related events for free.
Financial grants will be determined according to Green Education Awards sponsors.
