Established in 1967, Hacettepe University stands as a distinguished public institution situated in the Turkish capital of Ankara, renowned particularly for its esteemed medical schools. Organized into 14 faculties spanning disciplines such as Communication, Dentistry, Economics and Administrative Science, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Health Sciences, Law, Letters, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Science, and Sport Science, the university offers a comprehensive educational experience. Additionally, Hacettepe boasts 14 graduate schools and institutes, two applied schools, one conservatory, five vocational schools, and an impressive array of 104 research and application centers. With two primary campuses—one located in Ankara's historic town, housing the Medical Center, and the other sprawling over 1,000 acres in the Beytepe area, adorned with lush woodland—the university also maintains campuses in Beşevler, Polatlı, and Sincan. Boasting a student body of nearly 50,000, supported by a faculty of 3,600 academic professionals, Hacettepe offers an extensive range of more than 150 undergraduate and over 200 postgraduate programs.
