The University of the Andes, also known as Uniandes, is situated in Bogotá, towards the west of Colombia. Established in 1948 as an independent private higher education institution, it initially offered just seven programs with a small cohort of students and faculty. Over the years, it has garnered a reputation as one of South America's leading universities.
