Australian Catholic University (ACU) is a publicly funded institution with multiple campuses across Australia, established in 1991 through the amalgamation of four Catholic educational entities: Catholic College of Education Institute of Catholic Education, McAuley College, and Signadou College of Education. Dedicated to inclusivity, ACU welcomes students from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. With four faculties—education and arts, health sciences, law and business, and theology and philosophy—the university offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. Students actively participate in various extracurricular activities such as the annual ACU Games and the Australian University Games, fostering a vibrant campus community. Additionally, a community radio station, jointly operated by faculty and students, broadcasts across all ACU campuses. In 2015, ACU expanded its global footprint by establishing the Rome Centre in Italy, distinguishing itself as one of the few Australian universities with a presence in Europe.
