About COMSATS University Islamabad
COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) is a young public university with a comprehensive focus and all its programs in English. Pursuing its 3-fold mission of Teaching & Learning; Research & Discovery; Outreach & Public Service, CUI boasts a national profile of excellent academic reputation and now is in step with the current pace of international development while maintaining its own academic background. CUI is a multi-campus Institute offering degree programs in the fields of Science, Engineering, Technology, Architecture & Design, Business, Humanities, etc. Currently, there are seven physical campuses of CUI, with its primary campus at Islamabad (1998), Abbottabad (2001), Wah (2001), Lahore (2002), Attock (2004), Sahiwal (2006), and Vehari (2008) along with a Virtual Campus (2012). The CUI envisions assuming a truly national character for itself in the years to come. It sees for itself a position among top 100 universities in the developing countries and top 500 universities in the world by 2020. Focus in the period 2005-10 was on science led engineering, while in the period 2010-15 on initiating social sciences programs. During 2015-20, the focus will be on establishing programs in medical and agricultural sciences.

Within each pillar, various standards are carefully assessed, with weights ranging between 1 and 2, emphasizing the varying importance of each criterion. This nuanced approach ensures a holistic evaluation and offers an insightful measure of universities commitment to Green Education Transformation (Education 6.0).
