Fujian Medical University (FJMU), established in 1937, has been dedicated to fostering a diverse community of elites characterized by diligence, prudence, truth-seeking, and innovation for over 70 years. Recognized as one of the key universities for priority development by the Fujian Provincial People's Government in 2003, FJMU operates across two campuses, Shangjie and Taijiang, spanning approximately 87 hectares with a floor space of 400,000 square meters. Offering a comprehensive education system, FJMU provides bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs across various disciplines. Currently, the university offers 25 bachelor programs, including Clinical Medicine, Stomatology, Preventive Medicine, and Pharmacy, among others. Doctoral and master's degrees are conferred in fields such as Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Clinical Stomatology, and Pharmacology. With a student body of over 12,000 undergraduates and 2,200 postgraduate and doctoral students, FJMU has established itself as a leading institution for medical education and research. The university's faculty comprises 477 professors and chief physicians, along with 682 associate professors and associate chief physicians, totaling up to 5,638 medical personnel, including 528 master's and doctoral supervisors. FJMU's network of 13 affiliated hospitals and 29 teaching hospitals provides invaluable clinical teaching programs and training opportunities for medical students. Additionally, the university boasts two postdoctoral research stations, key laboratories supported by both the Ministry of Education and Fujian Province, and numerous provincial key disciplines and scientific research institutes. As a medical center in the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone, FJMU remains committed to its mission of cultivating medical professionals, advancing scientific research, exploring disease diagnosis and treatment, and providing healthcare and social services to the community.
