Hebei University of Technology traces its roots back to the Beiyang Technology School established in 1903, which was among the earliest institutions in China dedicated to nurturing industrial talents. Over the years, the university has achieved significant milestones, including being designated as one of the first key universities under the national "Project 211" in 1996 and being selected as a national "double first-class" University in 2017. Currently, the university comprises 20 teaching institutions offering 64 undergraduate majors, with a strong focus on disciplines such as engineering, science, economics, and management. Notably, its materials science, chemistry, and engineering disciplines rank in the top 1% globally according to ESI rankings. With a faculty of over 2,800 teaching staff, Hebei University of Technology places a strong emphasis on talent development and research excellence. It has established numerous research platforms, including national and provincial laboratories and engineering technology research centers, contributing significantly to national strategic needs and industrial transformation. In terms of international collaboration, the university has forged partnerships with over 60 foreign universities, facilitating cooperation in various fields and levels of education. Additionally, it has established collaborative programs with institutions such as LUT University in Finland and the University of Arizona in the USA.
