Ningbo University (NBU), a key institution in Zhejiang, China, and part of the country's "Shuang Yi Liu" ("Double First-Class") Initiative, boasts extensive support from the provincial government, the Ministry of Education (MOE), Ningbo Municipality, and the State Oceanic Administration. Established in 1986 with contributions from Sir Yue-Kong Pao, and blessed with an inscription by Deng Xiaoping, NBU has flourished through generous support from various sectors, including prominent Chinese universities. Over the years, it has evolved into a comprehensive institution with 23 schools, 10 research institutes, and 5 affiliated hospitals, offering a diverse array of disciplines.
