About Yonsei University
Yonsei University was established in January 1957 through the union of Yonhi College and Severance Union Medical College1. The colleges began their bilateral cooperation in the 1920s and were the first of their kind in Korea1. Yonsei University is located in the vibrant Sinchon district of Seoul and is known for its strong programs in liberal arts, medicine, and business2. The university was founded as a hospital in 1885 and was officially established when Yonhi University and Severance Medical School merged in 19572.
